Deva Tarpanam — Offering to Gods

ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय । देवदेवाय महाविष्णवे तर्पयामि स्वाहा ॥

oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya । devadevāya mahāviṣṇave tarpayāmi svāhā ॥

Om — Salutations to the Lord Vasudeva, the God of gods, the great Vishnu. I offer this libation — Svaha!

ॐ नमः शिवाय । महादेवाय त्रिनेत्राय तर्पयामि स्वाहा ॥

oṁ namaḥ śivāya । mahādevāya trinetrayā tarpayāmi svāhā ॥

Om — Salutations to Shiva, the great God, the three-eyed one. I offer this libation — Svaha!

ॐ ऐं सरस्वत्यै नमः । वीणापुस्तकधारिण्यै तर्पयामि स्वाहा ॥

oṁ aiṁ sarasvatyai namaḥ । vīṇāpustakadhāriṇyai tarpayāmi svāhā ॥

Om — Salutations to Goddess Saraswati, bearer of the veena and scriptures. I offer this libation — Svaha!

ॐ श्रीं महालक्ष्म्यै नमः । कमलासनायै तर्पयामि स्वाहा ॥

oṁ śrīṁ mahālakṣmyai namaḥ । kamalāsanāyai tarpayāmi svāhā ॥

Om — Salutations to the great Goddess Lakshmi, seated upon the lotus. I offer this libation — Svaha!

ॐ ह्रीं दुर्गायै नमः । महिषासुरमर्दिन्यै तर्पयामि स्वाहा ॥

oṁ hrīṁ durgāyai namaḥ । mahiṣāsuramardinyai tarpayāmi svāhā ॥

Om — Salutations to Goddess Durga, slayer of the buffalo-demon Mahishasura. I offer this libation — Svaha!

स॒र्वे देवा॑ इ॒दं॒ मे॑ तृ॒प्तिम् । देवेभ्यो॒ जुष्टं॒ स्वाहा॑ । अ॒ग्निर्मे॒ सखा॑ भव॑तु दे॒वानां॑ च॒ नमः॑ ॥

sarve devā idaṁ me tṛptim । devebhyo juṣṭaṁ svāhā । agnir me sakha bhavatu devānāṁ ca namaḥ ॥

All gods, may this libation bring me satisfaction. May it be pleasing to the gods — Svaha! May Agni be my ally. Salutations to the gods.
